Welcome to the club!
I Bought HonestMomsClub.com Before I Became a Mom
I’m Nicole, a 32 year old living in New England looking to build a (virtual) place for my thoughts, ideas, feelings, and future.
So … I did I thing.
I bought honestmomsclub.com(HMC) and no, I’m not a mom. Not yet. Haven’t even started trying (that part is coming soon tho we hope!)
But I’ve had this idea in my head for a while now. But it always felt too soon. A space that’s honest, funny, raw, real. I want to talk about everything from fertility fears and awkward OB appointments to baby names I definitely won’t use and future road trips with sticky toddlers and snacks everywhere…I’m excited and nervous just writing this.
This isn’t just a blog. It’s a vibe. A movement, maybe. At the very least, it’s a place where I can say things like “I’m terrified of losing myself in motherhood” and “also, I just found the world’s cutest mini fanny pack for babies.”
The truth is, I wanted to start before I had a kid. Because the journey doesn’t start with a pregnancy test. For me, it has already started with years of conversations. With googling, TikTok-ing, and having an app on my phone to think of future baby (and pet) names.
I want Honest Moms Club to be the kind of space where we talk about the good, the bad, the hilarious, the gross, the tender stuff that doesn’t always make it onto Instagram, but should, because it’s the real stuff. My own version of a scrap book that can grow into much more, a community.
Eventually, I hope this turns into more than just my voice. I envision a podcast with real chats over coffee (many much coffee). A shop with gear that makes people say laugh and feel like the are part of the club, because they are! Friends and family sharing their own stories. Maybe even a YouTube channel where I review mom gadgets or try kid crafts while definitely making a mess.
But for now, this is where I’m starting: One post, one thought, one very honest moment at a time.
So if you’re someone who’s a mom, wants to be one, isn’t sure yet, or just loves someone who fits into one of those categories …welcome! You’re already in the club.
We don’t do perfect here
